Beautiful handmade early 1917 passementerie real gold & black silk military passementerie which originates from my familys 150 year old antique textile archives.

It dates from July 1917 and was found alongside a set of other 16 carat gold (wrapped on cotton / silk thread) hat cords all wrapped in silk paper sealed from manufacturer.

This is a rare original antique World War I, U.S. Army officers Black & Gold regulation acorn tassle and slide cord, which would have been used on an officers campaign hat.

The condition is quite remarkable, it had been wrapped in papier de soie for at least 80 years and protected from the elements. It comes from my family silk passementerie archives and is genuine. It has an original reference tag still attached which states the company which created it W. H.C. Juillet 1917 'or mi-fin' which means medium weight gold which is approx 16 carat gold.

The cordon measures 136cm long in length (if it were to be untied), each gland measures 3.6cm in length

These early 1900s military antiquities have become very popular and this is your opportunity to own a genuine version.
