Rare and highly collectible document from the celebrated Parisian printing house, Zimmermann.

Sumptuous illustrations by famous illustrator Gets (who illustrated all the French fashion magazines in the early 1900s)

In the form of an accordion, there are eight hand painted illustrations signed by Gets.

This document is bookended by two illustrations in the form of letters...
One starts 'Lettre de Madame de Villepr̩ sa petite fille Madame de R... Paris' - which translates as 'Letter from Madame Villepr̩ to her granddaughter Madame de R... in Paris.'
and the other end is 'la r̩ponse de Madame de R... sa grand-m̬re en son ch̢teau de Villepr̩.' which translates as 'Reply of Madame de R.... to her grandmother in her Castle at Villepr̩.

There are two central illustrations:
i. Le 'Viens au fond du parc' which translates as 'The look that says 'come to the deeps of the Parc'
ii. Le 'Suivez-moi jeune homme' which translates as 'The look that says 'follow me young man'.
On the back of these illustrations are smaller illustrations (one of which is slightly water damaged but it does not show on both sides).

These are originals, part of a Zimmermann limited edition series which I bought from one of my favourite antiques dealers.

Beautiful handwriting, the illustrations have been printed by Zimmermann and then handpainted with vibrant jewel tones and gold and silver painted silhouettes.

These would be wonderful framed either individually or kept intact as a document.

Please note the paint that has run on the smaller round illustration.
Heavy quality card.
