November in Lacoste, winter arrives in Provence

My youngest, Charlotte, just started today in a local creche... but in the run up to leaving her we had an extended adaptation period and I took the above photograph whilst driving to pick her up. The fog enveloping nearby Bonnieux in a warm embrace. Everywhere you look there are ruby tinted fields of cherry trees, and rows of amber vines leading into the descending mists surrounding the Foret de Cedres. Most tourists come for the scorching summer seasons but truly November in Lacoste is spectacular. It takes me three times as long to get anywhere as I am stopping every few metres to just take it all in.
